New beginnings

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

This is a double-heading new beginning. Both a new blog and myself, Simon I’Anson, as the new Creative Director of Pancentric.

I’ve blogged before whilst working at other agencies so looking back it’s pretty easy to say what you should expect to see here in the future. There’ll be the odd post about agency process and site launches. I’ll blog about industry observations, seminars and conferences I attend. I’ve even been known to read some geeky design books and write reviews. I’ll endeavour to keep everything on-topic and promise not to start blogging about my sick cat.

To whet your appetite, I’ll kick things off with a great little clip of one of my design idols talking about his career, typography and ‘the grid’. Couldn’t you just drown in that wondrous dutch accent.

Hello world!

Welcome to the Pancentric blogs.

First off, a little bit of background. Pancentric was formed in August 2003, and is the result of a merger between communications and direct marketing agency, Stewart Fenn Marketing and new media consultancy, BDMedia. Both companies were independent and each enjoyed successful 10 year histories. Pancentric now focus on digital marketing with a great mix of inspired creative thinking and sound technical implementation.

These blogs will provide a little window on our activities, our thoughts and comments on the industry and hopefully some fun diversions. You never know, we may even share some of our expertise and thinking along the way.
